Romantic Art In The Country
The most radical art forms developed in the late 18th century and the 20th century. The well-known artists of that period are Richard Parkes Bonington, Samuel Palmer, and John Martin. Another two artists of this period namely John Constable and J.M.W.Turner are considered to be the most influential artists of that time who had some Italian touches in their stroke. Their paintings were wild and abstract that they concentrated more on their lighting effects inside the art. Constable loved to paint simple landscapes that had more natural beauty in it.
Turner was more interested in painting scenes in a size of six feet using oil paint. Blake is another painter of that era who is remembered for his unique art style. In 1820, the paintings had a theme of poverty that was very lyrical as well as intense. Thomas Lawrence gave a romantic stroke to his art works that made him very popular in the 20th century.
Certain paintings were narrative and dramatic. John Flaxman started his career as a sculptor but became famous for his outline drawing that represents the historical facts and scenes. These artists had a different genre of painting that differed from one another.
